Update: Winter Hits the Rust Belt

Winter is here, Raiders. Blue Gate is frozen over, and we've got a new map condition. Also, keep an eye out for the 'Goalie' deck dropping later this month.

  • MAP CONDITION: 'Cold Snap' is now active.
  • EVENT: 'Flickering Flames' event is live.
  • NEW CONTENT: Free Raider Deck 'Goalie' coming Dec 26.
  • QUESTS: New quests and festive items added.

Systems: Wallet & Skill Tree

Big changes to progression. You can finally reset your Skill Tree (for a fee), but Speranza put a cap on how many Creds you can hoard.

  • SKILL TREE: Added Reset functionality (Cost: 2,000 Coins per skill point).
  • WALLET: Now shows Cred soft cap (800). Dev Note: Capped to ensure Raider Decks remain a rewarding unlock loop.
  • SETTINGS: Added option to toggle Aim Down Sights.
  • LOOT: Moved Aphelion blueprint drop from Matriarch to Stella Montis.
  • CUSTOMIZATION: Raider Tool customization added.
  • COLLISION: Improved Stella Montis spawn distance checks (prevents spawning too close to others).

Weapon Balance

The Bettina gets a durability buff but a reload speed tweak. The Rattler gets a bigger mag. Explosives are being tuned to stop people from deleting Bosses instantly.

  • BETTINA: Durability burn reduced significantly (~0.17% per shot). Mag size increased (20 → 22). Base Reload Time reduced (5 → 4.5).
  • RATTLER: Base Magazine Size increased (10 → 12).
  • EXPLOSIVES: Rebalanced damage against ARC. Explosions on large enemies (e.g. Bastion) deal less damage unless hitting weak spots. Small enemy damage unchanged.

ARC Improvements

The Shredder has been to driving school—it turns better and navigates corners. It also has more health on its head to prevent glitchy kills.

  • SHREDDER: Reduced weapon knockback. Increased move speed/turning. Head health increased. Navigation improved. Reacts faster to combat. More destructible parts added.
  • ARC: Fixed bug where ARC called reinforcements outside the map.
  • MISSILES: No longer reverse course after missing; tracking improved.
  • SENTINEL: Fixed laser range bug.
  • SURVEYOR: Disabled vaulting onto Surveyors. Fixed Bombardier projectiles shooting through Matriarch shields.

Movement & Physics

They nerfed the slide-spam. It costs stamina now. On the bright side, climbing ladders feels safer.

  • SLIDING: Slight stamina cost added for entering a slide.
  • DODGE ROLL: Acceleration reduced when rolling from a slide.
  • TRAVERSAL: Fixed jumping/climbing blocking while crouched.
  • LADDERS: Fixed automatic detachment when climbing over open gaps.
  • SKILL TREE: 'Effortless Roll' now provides greater stamina reduction.
  • SKILL TREE: 'Calming Stroll' now applies while moving in ADS.

Map Fixes: Global & Specific

A massive sweep of map fixes. No more invisible walls, stuck spots, or falling through the world.

  • GLOBAL: Fixed spawning logic for reconnecting players. Fixed slope of Raider Hatch (crawling allowed).
  • GLOBAL: Security Lockers spawn dynamically now. Raider Caches fixed in Prospecting Probes.
  • GLOBAL: Fixed loot containers spawning inside terrain. Fixed 'open' doors appearing closed.
  • GLOBAL: Electromagnetic Storm lightning now drops valuable items. Increased Great Mullein spawns.
  • DAM: Moved Matriarch spawn. Fixed Control Tower elevator stuck spot.
  • SPACEPORT: Adjusted locked room protection area. Fixed Hidden Bunker collision. Blocked Launch Tower wall breach. Fixed Control Tower locked room access.
  • BLUE GATE: Added 'Locked Gate' condition. Fixed map bounds/out-of-bounds stops. Improved Tree LODs. Fixed Village locked room loot. Added props to 'A First Foothold' quest.
  • STELLA MONTIS: Increased item/blueprint spawn rates. Removed Rubber Ducks from 'A Little Extra' skill (sorry). Adjusted window glass clarity.

Audio Updates

The game sounds cleaner. Footsteps are prioritized, mines actually make noise when triggered, and that creepy ambient voice in the Cantina is gone.

  • MINES: Fixed Gas/Stun/Impulse mines not playing trigger sound when shot.
  • FOOTSTEPS: Increased simultaneous sound count and priority. Fixed quiet footsteps on metal stairs.
  • ARC: Improved directional sound.
  • UI: Added chat message sounds. Tweaked announcement loudness.
  • AMBIENCE: Removed the unsettling 'mom?' sound from Speranza cantina.

UI, Menus & Settings

Huge list of interface fixes. Inventory management is smoother, and settings are clearer.

  • SETTINGS: Added Motion Blur intensity slider. Updated tooltips. Added Hold/Toggle labels. Fixed Flash Effect Invert Colors.
  • SETTINGS: Added microphone permission guide. Fixed crashes in video settings.
  • INVENTORY: Fixed right-click menu focus. Fixed tooltip flickering. Breach interaction cancels inventory. Fixed weapon slot menu bugs.
  • HUD: Markers closer to player appear on top. Fixed item icon bugs. Strongroom racks show color when full.
  • MAIN MENU: Added Live Events carousel. Fixed Weapon Upgrade tab location. Fixed Raider pop-in. Added Quest carousel.
  • SOCIAL: Fixed Discord status bugs. Added Party Join icon. Fixed context menu stacking.
  • CONSOLE: Updated PS5 icons. Fixed Xbox profile crash.
  • CODEX: Fixed damage tracking accuracy. Field-crafted items count now. Added Video Rewatch section.
  • END OF ROUND: Reduced survey frequency. Added optional feedback button.

Expeditions & Quests

Tracking projects is easier, and a bunch of quest bugs have been squashed.

  • EXPEDITIONS: Added 'Expeditions Completed' stats. Added resource tracking and reward display to Project screen. Fixed input conflicts.
  • QUESTS: Pickups show icons if tracked. Fixed notification bugs. Improved ping info/markers.
  • QUEST FIXES: 'Greasing Her Palms' bug fixed. ESR Analyzer easier to find. 'Marked for Death' clarity improved. 'Unexpected Initiative' items updated.
  • TRIALS: Objectives indicate bonus conditions. Rank icon fixed. Added explanation popup.

Bug Fixes & Exploits

The nitty-gritty fixes. No more infinite ammo exploits or super-jumps.

  • EXPLOITS: Fixed energy weapon reload exploit. Fixed shotgun fire-rate bypass. Fixed Snap Hook momentum storage.
  • ANIMATION: Fixed Field Crate slide. Fixed over-encumbered run animation. Dodge roll cancels interactions correctly.
  • UTILITY: Epic key cards buffed. Blueprint spawns expanded. Aphelion blueprint moved.
  • UTILITY: Fixed Deadline wallbang damage. Fixed sticky throwables on trees. Fixed mine arming logic.
  • ITEMS: Rubber Ducks fixed in Trinket slot. Integrated binocs/shield weight set to 0.
  • VIBING: Playing an instrument applies 'Vibing Status' to nearby players.
  • CRASHES: Fixed General/AMD crashes. Fixed Raider Voice (AVX2) crash.
  • KNOWN ISSUES: AMD RX 9060 XT driver warning popup. Stash value calculation on departure screen.
